This trip gives you an insight into the Arusha town, a touristic town filled with a mix of cultures and activities that can impress every visitor. It stretches from the town in the curio market, to the different activities including unique coffee shops, the local markets and impressive nature which inherits it’s rich look from the national parks that are found a little out of Arusha town!
Day 1: Walking Safari in Arusha
Tanzania has a huge variety of options for walking safaris, whether visitors are looking for short walks from their camps or longer immersive multi-day trips in eastern Africa.
A trip from Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro to Arusha will take guests closer to immersing themselves in the wild on a walking safari, getting closer to the incredible wildlife and surrounding landscapes.
The main focus of a walking safari experience is to embark on slow paced, guided walks exploring different wildlife and big game species and landscapes in the bush.
Walking safaris are possible in Arusha throughout the year. Wildlife viewing in Arusha National Park is good throughout the year but is at its best in the Dry season, from late June to October.
Morning:
Collect you from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and take you to the Arusha National Park. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species.
At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on the walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close.
Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.
Afternoon:
Lunch will be taken at a picnic place in the afternoon. Post-lunch, continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park.
Observe the wildlife in a peaceful, quiet setting and soak in the scenery.
Evening:
After plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you back to Arusha town, marking the end of your one-day Arusha day tour.
Pick up & drop off in Arusha or Moshi at the Hotel, 4×4 transport, english speaking guide, water, lunch, insurance and park expenses are included in the walking safari.
